Crusaders:

Crusaders Class has been established for over 40 years. It is a diverse
group of mature adults studying different aspects of the scripture. We
meet in Room 1 with Glenn Crum as our teacher.  Each year we sponsor the
ice cream social, Christmas candy for the children of the church and the
organization of the meals for the homeless. We have several social
events outside of class throughout the year.  We welcome new members who
are interested in studying the scriptures in a creative manner and
having a good time.

In The Word:

In the word is a fellowship of people learning how to study and apply scripture to our lives.

We are currently starting a 12-week study of John.  “Don’t go to scripture searching for your ideas, but be open to his.”

Coffee With God:

The Coffee with God class is made up mostly of a fun loving variety of young minded adults.  We study the word with today’s issues in mind.

Progressive:

The Progressive Sunday School Class had it's beginnings in the "little white church" that stood at the corner of Hays and Grand streets in Haysville.

It is the oldest of the adult Sunday School classes at HUMC.

Our membership is primarily older adults and still includes a few of the original members.

We are currently using books written by James W. Moore, which includes titles such as "When All Else Fails, Read the Instructions!"  Our class time includes reading and discussing the lesson together.

Anyone is welcome to join us!

King’s Kids:

King’s Kids are a mixed age group of ordinary adults who gather weekly to study God’s Word and encourage each other’s lives.

We usually (but not always) study regular written material during the school

months and “take a break” by viewing video material during the summer.

King’s Kids organize the annual “CARNIVAL”; a popular kid’s fun event held in February,

involving food & games directed at the young & young at heart.

King’s Kids has just started (begun 4-6-08) on a projected year & a half tour of the excellent

Disciple One study, an experiment trying to fit the popular Disciple study into the Sunday School hour (studying each of the 34 lessons on two Sundays).

To join us, come to room 2 (Northeast Hall) any Sunday between 9:45 and 10:45 or contact Ed Hatcher (524-8349).  We would love to have you come and share your life with us!
